Share Your Observations: Mushrooms Emerging, Berries Ripening
Keep an eye on the forest! Chanterelles are just starting to peek through the moss, blueberries are ripening, and we’re keeping a close watch on porcini in the spruce forests. Let us know what you see — your updates help us time our purchasing just right for your region.
After last autumn’s drought, the rain has finally arrived — and in good supply, especially here in North Karelia and throughout Finland. Nature is waking up! With warmer weather on the way, the signs are clear: the 2025 harvest season is near. Chanterelles are beginning to emerge, blueberries are approaching ripeness, and porcini may soon start popping up in the right conditions. The situation varies from one region to another, but the season is definitely on its way.
Your field reports and harvest sightings are a huge help to us as we prepare to open up purchasing. With your input, we can get the season started smoothly, in the right place at the right time. Please keep an eye on your local berry spots, observe how cloudberries are coming along in the marshes, check on chanterelle growth, and follow any early signs of porcini in the spruce forests.

P.S. The porcini in the photo isn’t from this year – no confirmed sightings yet, but we’re ready the moment they appear!
