Our Purchase Car Arrives in Ilomantsi This Weekend!

There is a lovely early summer crop of Boletus pinophilus in the forests of Ilomantsi (North Karelia) — beautiful porcini mushrooms! Thanks to a couple of our trusted and motivated pickers, we can now confirm this exceptionally early growth. A very welcome and surprising start to the season! There’s already good activity in the forests — now we’re just waiting to see how the rains will boost the mushroom harvest.

We’ve decided to bring our purchase car to Ilomantsi this coming weekend (Saturday and Sunday, June 28–29, 2025), so that you have the opportunity to sell your freshly picked mushrooms directly to us. We will be at our pop-up purchase stop in Ilomantsi both days at 5:00 PM.
