Current Buying Updates
There will be several changes to our buying operations during week 35. We have gathered the latest updates here:
- The last buying day for uncleaned blueberries is Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at all buying points except those in Koillismaa (Kuusamo area) and Ranua, where buying will continue for the time being. At all other buying points, Tuesday, August 25, is the final buying day.
- Buying of uncleaned lingonberries will begin in Eastern Finland on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at most of our buying points. PLEASE NOTE! Lingonberries must be red and ripe. Lingonberry buying will not yet begin in the northern areas of Kainuu, Koillismaa (Kuusamo area), or Ranua. There we will wait a little longer for the lingonberries to ripen.
- Porcini buying will not begin yet. We carried out a quality assessment on Monday, August 24, 2026, focusing particularly on worm damage. Although the situation is improving, the quality is not yet at a sufficient level for us to begin buying. We are disappointed about this too, but we will continue to monitor the situation and wait for further improvement. This is part of our risk management and allows us to anticipate quality challenges based on our extensive experience and expertise from previous harvest seasons.
- The last buying day in Tuohikotti is Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
- There will be changes to the buying times in Pieksämäki and Mikkeli starting Friday, August 28, 2026.
- The buying points in the Kainuu region will take a break from buying after Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
