A huge and heartfelt thank you for the 2026 harvest season. What an incredible berry-filled season it has been!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nature truly gave us its very best when it came to berries this year. And so did you, our wonderful pickers! The picking activity was absolutely amazing and exceeded all our expectations. A warm thank you to every picker across Finland who worked hard in the berry forests throughout the season and brought their harvests to our buying points. Without you, these enormous quantities of berries would have remained in the forests.<\/p>\n

This year, we experienced a record-breaking berry season, both for bilberries and lingonberries. We also enjoyed a plentiful, more typical cloudberry season for the first time in several years. The enthusiasm and activity of our pickers completely surprised us, and it was a great pleasure to serve you throughout the busy buying season.<\/p>\n

We were able to collect enormous quantities of berries, and we also made significant progress in our processing and production operations. Seasons like this remind us how wonderful it is to work with nature’s products.<\/p>\n

A Berry-Filled Season \u2013 But We Missed Our Porcini!<\/strong><\/p>\n

While we broke records with berries, the porcini season turned out to be exceptionally difficult and disappointing.<\/p>\n

Porcini mushrooms did appear in the forests, but right from the beginning, we faced unusually serious quality challenges. We carried out several test purchases and quality inspections to determine whether we could begin buying porcini. Unfortunately, the results were repeatedly too poor.<\/p>\n

If there is one thing that leaves us disappointed about this harvest season, it is the porcini mushrooms. We know that many pickers missed the excitement, joy and rewarding moments that come with finding and picking porcini. And so did we. We missed the porcini mushrooms and that familiar porcini rush that we get to experience together with you, our pickers.<\/p>\n

As for other mushroom species, the season was relatively average in terms of quantities. Overall, however, mushrooms played an exceptionally small role in our business this year compared to berries. We hope that many porcini pickers were able to find other mushrooms to collect, and perhaps berries as well.<\/p>\n

For us, it was especially important that despite the extremely poor season for porcini, our main product, we were still able to continue our buying operations, keep our buying points open and serve pickers through our extensive buying network throughout the season. Let us hope that next year the porcini forests will once again bring us those much-missed moments of joy.<\/p>\n

Thank You to Our Wonderful Seasonal Team!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alongside our pickers, an enormous thank you goes to our wonderful staff. This year, our seasonal workforce was approximately twice the size of that in recent seasons. Every employee’s contribution was valuable and meaningful.<\/p>\n

Seasonal work demands a lot. It requires endurance, flexibility, quick reactions and the ability to adapt to constantly changing situations.<\/p>\n

This year’s exceptionally large berry volumes meant that the entire company had to stretch its capacity, organise operations in new ways and keep everything moving throughout the hectic harvest season. And together, we made it through!<\/p>\n

It was wonderful to see how our employees took on their responsibilities, developed their skills, showed initiative and adapted to the pressures of the season. We greatly appreciate the contribution each of you brought to our work together.<\/p>\n

We will warmly remember the many encounters, shared moments, successes and the wonderful spirit of working together throughout the season. Thank you for your hard work, dedication and, above all, for being part of making this season possible.<\/p>\n

Thank You to Our Customers and Partners!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alongside our pickers and employees, our customers and cooperation partners play an essential role in the success of our operations. Exceptionally large volumes create challenges for everyone throughout the supply chain. This year, many situations required flexibility, quick solutions, a shared determination to succeed and, above all, good cooperation.<\/p>\n

We are deeply grateful for the excellent cooperation we experienced throughout the season. Everyone played an important role in ensuring that operations continued smoothly, even during the most hectic moments. Together, we found solutions and managed to respond to the challenges brought by the season.<\/p>\n

Thank you for every moment of cooperation, every solution found, every act of flexibility and every helping hand. At Dalla Valle, building long-term relationships has always been one of the guiding principles of our business. We strongly believe that the trust built on both sides over the years shows its true value during exceptional seasons like this one. When situations change quickly and challenges arise, mutual trust and the willingness to help one another become invaluable.<\/p>\n

This year, we also established many new cooperation relationships. We are already looking forward to future harvest seasons and continuing our work together.<\/p>\n

Looking Ahead<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our headquarters and operational centre in Sotkuma will soon become quiet again as the season comes to an end. The busy seasonal operations will gradually give way to analysing the season, development work and planning for the future.<\/p>\n

Every harvest season is different. Each one teaches us something new, challenges us to improve and gives us valuable experience for the years ahead. This year’s exceptional berry season leaves us with many successes to remember, but also plenty of new ideas, lessons and opportunities for further development.<\/p>\n

Thank you for the 2026 season \u2013 to all our pickers, employees, customers and partners.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You made this season possible, memorable and meaningful. Without you, none of this would have been possible. Thank you for your trust, your hard work and everything we have achieved together.<\/p>\n

We wish everyone a wonderful rest of the autumn and a peaceful winter. Let us enjoy a little quieter time for a while.<\/p>\n
